Meet Dr. Bhatia

 

Dr. Bhatia is a physician and fellow at the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine. Having practiced pediatric emergency medicine in Atlanta since 2000, she is very familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of our current health care system.


Dr. Bhatia has been committed to exploring the field of holistic and integrative medicine. Board certified in holistic medicine in 2003 by the American Board of Holistic Medicine, she has also completed certifications in nutrition and acupuncture. As mentioned previously, she is also a fellow in Dr. Andrew Weil’s Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona (Tucson).

With an established agenda of improving children’s’ health, Dr. Bhatia became involved in media activities in 2003. As a medical expert for CNN Headline News, medical contributor for various news organizations, and American Academy of Pediatrics spokesperson, Dr. Bhatia continues to bring attention to the frequently ignored health issues of women and children.

Dr. Bhatia completed her residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia in 2000, where she received the Emily Gardner award for best pediatric resident. She graduated from medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in 1997. She resides in Atlanta with her family.
